LandVest Christie’s corporate office relocation from the financial district to the Back Bay provided a more modern office environment, and closer proximity to their new Newbury Street retail location.
Many of the existing finishes were still fresh and therefore retained, but the space lacked a staff kitchenette. With full height glazed partitions and open office space, the kitchenette would have to be functional but also beautiful and clean and equipped with lots of storage, while providing a place for staff to enjoy their lunch in-house. JSD worked with the client and Turner Construction to create a dedicated area for coffee, food storage, preparation and casual eating-in with a materials palette that complimented the existing finishes, provided ample storage with light colored and reflective upper cabinetry, and warm wood and neutral finishes that are easy on the eyes.
