This “friendly 40B” project brought 15 new affordable condominiums to the Winter Hill neighborhood of Somerville through a process involving intensive community review and collaboration.
The design involved a detailed urban design analysis, provisions for historic commemoration of the site and immediate neighborhood, as well as many sustainable design features including on-site stormwater management, construction waste management plan, use of recycled building materials, reduced use of PVC materials, and Energy Star certification.
