Joy Squared Design collaborated with Pine Street Inn to rehabilitate an 1892 era landmark Brookline residence for affordable lodging units.
The spaces were designed to preserve the character and fabric of the original building. Key elements such as original slate roofing, wood, and stained glass windows were restored. Wheelchair accessibility is integrated into the exterior façade with a barrel vault roofed wheelchair lift enclosure that complements the historic arched entrance.
