Through an extensive community process with the local Four Corners neighborhood organization, Joy Squared’s design rehabilitated a gracious shingle style house to accommodate the complex program of a DMH licensed group residence.
Wheelchair accessibility is achieved via a redesigned lowered entry on the east facade and a new elevator within the building footprint. The program spaces are designed for supportive community living including staff offices and a live-in manager’s apartment with a private entrance.
