Joy Squared Design has partnered with Pine Street Inn for many renovation projects to provide permanent supportive housing for homeless individuals.
Kuehn House at 10-12 Wales Street provides twelve 1-bedroom units in a selectively renovated former six family. The building envelope was upgraded including new insulation, moisture barrier and siding with the front porch completely re-built. Kitchens, baths and finishes were refreshed and systems repaired. The site was completely re-designed to include new stone walls and steps at the street edge, and a lovely landscaped rear courtyard. The courtyard with three small patios and seating affords residents a peaceful and healing setting in the midst of the city.
